I’m an Engineer, Get me out of here is giving EVERYONE (using social media) the chance to ASK about the science, maths, and engineering behind the 2014 CHRISTMAS LECTURES: Sparks will fly!

From the broadcast of the lectures over the festive period to the end of January 2015, we will have a varied host of engineers and researchers, including Danielle George, online to answer questions and take part in live chats.

Danielle is a Professor of Radio Frequency Engineering in the Microwave and Communications Systems research group at the University of Manchester, and presenter of the 2014 CHRISTMAS LECTURES.

The 2014 CHRISTMAS LECTURES, Sparks Will Fly, will be broadcast over the festive period, and each week thereafter until the end of January 2015, there will be a different group of active engineers and researchers to answer questions online.

About the CHRISTMAS LECTURES Zone

Begun by Michael Faraday in 1825, the CHRISTMAS LECTURES are now broadcast on UK television every December and have formed part of the British Christmas tradition for generations.

We’ve teamed up the the Royal Institution to extend the CHRISTMAS LECTURES discussion; giving school students and the public the opportunity to ask questions inspired by the lectures to engineers and researchers online.
