Not really. I have a little bit of French and Spanish from school, but only enough to be able to find my way around town, and ask for things from a menu in a cafe.

Having fluent French or German would be really useful to me at work (since we do quite a bit of work with people in France and Germany), but the reality is that I’m too lazy to spend time learning. 🙁

I understand, and can speak, a little bit of German. I wish I could have been more fluent in it because a lot of the suppliers who make parts for cars are based in Germany, and I had to visit them quite often.

It would have also been very useful when I had meetings with them.

We’re not as good at languages in this country as they are in the rest of the world, we’re fortunate that so many people learn english as a second language.

I speak Spanish and English, and I am currently learning French!

Despite English is the most important language in the world, and you can go to most places just with it, I totally recommend people to learn more languages! I think it is quite useful if you like traveling and also if you consider living overseas.
